One of my users observed the following:

* Signing into my application first with Google Account credentials resulted in Google Docs picking the user's identity -- i.e. he was recognized by Google Docs without explicitly signing into it

* Signing into Google Docs first with Google Account credentials resulted in my app NOT picking up the user's identify -- i.e. he had to explicitly sign into my app to be recognized

Is this behavior due to a misconfiguration on my part or is it by design? Or perhaps a bug? (I did search the open issues, but didn't see anything.)

Thanks,
Garrrett

Hi Garrett,
Each App Engine applications requires that you explicitly sign in to any given App Engine account so that application can access your User account credentials.

However, since your application uses Google Accounts, when you sign in to an App Engine application, you also sign in to your Google Account.  This will allow you to access Google Services that use Google Account authentication (like calendar and Gmail) with out having to sign in explicitly to those services.
