Outside testing before adding to Market Place?

I have my application which accesses Google Docs almost ready for submission but I have a question... I added the application to our domain under Google and have been testing it that way for a while. I'd like to have someone on a different domain test but when they try access their docs through my application it fails to access their feed with an Authentication Error. They have logged in using standard OAuth and have also clicked on a Google-supplied button granting my app access to their Google Docs.

Do they have to add our app to their domain like I did? Since my application hasn't been published how is that done?
