Google maps is going to put the nail in the coffin of a website I've developed

The ridiculous price increase in google maps is going to make my GAE project pointless, absoultely pointless.  I use a dynamic map on the front end with places autocomplete and geo coding. We had some plans to make some major changes to rapidly increase traffic to the site, which has not been very active, but needless to say they are shelved. Going to have to think very carefully regarding anything Google from now on.

What are you thinking Google? Really what were you thinking?
