Hello everybody.

I was deploying my aplication and got a error telling me that my
application size limit is more than 150MB.
Well, I just want to know if I am mistaking something. My application
is not so big. I have at this moment 14 modules and the compiled
permutations are taking more than 10MBytes each and I havent use
internacionalization.

Is that correct? Am I doing something wrong to have the modules
permutations so big?

Another question... If I enable billing, can I deploy a bigger
application?

Thanks in advance,
Rodrigo.

Hi Rodrigo,

FYI enabling the billing wont change this quota.

We would need a little more information about your application. are you using GWT? any big static files?

Looking forward to your response.

Best,
Jose.

Hi Jose.

Yes. I am using gwt. I am NOT using internacionalization. So each
module has between 6 to 10 compilations.

All images together has 4,7MB in 612 files but the images are not been
used in the modules.

Are them carried on the permutations?

No other static files are significant.

Help please,
Thanks in advance,
[],
Rodrigo.

Hi,

When compiling in GWT make sure to compile in OBFUSCATED mode, not PRETTY or DETAILED mode.

Try that out and let us know how it goes!

Hi Jose.

The gwt compilation is set to OBFUSCATED, Log level: Info

I was seeing the Modules permutation directory above the WAR folder
and they have a average of 1MB each,
and the DEPLOY folder that contains the same folders of the modules
have many files .symbolMap each folder.

So for resuming... all of my modules has a directory under war with
the .cache.html, .nocache.js .etc... --- 1MBytes per module folder
Same module directory under the deploy folder has 6 files .symbolMap
each 1,5MB --- 9MBytes per module folder

With my 14 modules * 9MB = 126MB
+ 4,7MB images and static files + some external jar libraries, gives
the 150MB thats is breaking the deploy limit

So, what is the error of my project? Should I clean the deploy folder?

I am surely doing something wrong, cause I dont believe that my
project is that big.

Help is much apreciated.

Thanks in advance,
[],
Rodrigo.

Hi Rodrigo,

Because this is an issue related to how GWT compiles, I'll recommend you post your question on the GWT group: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/google-web-toolkit

If you don't find any help there, just follow up here to see what else I can do.

Hope this helps!

Hello Jose,

I am self funding a startup business and am looking to have it built on Google App Engine.  I am looking for a back end developer who can develop the entire back end to the a site that pulls data from the Facebook API upon users accepting permissions.  I have a front end graphics person who will provide all the branding, logos and creative needed.

My budget for this project is $7,500.  Is this something that you are interested in discussing further?  If so, can you share with me sites that you have fully developed and any other information?  I am moving quickly and trying to find the best person in the next couple days.

Thank you,
Brett
