Hi all, I've just begun work on a assignment project that is meant to demonstrate service orientated architecture. It involves setting up several different discrete backend services services, and having a client that then integrates these services into a single application. I was hoping to use App Engine to host the backend services but am unsure if using it in this manner would violate section 4.3(e) of the Terms of Use. Is anyone able to clarify this for me?

There will be 5 services, all very simple, low traffic etc and will be taken down after the project has been graded.

Cheers,
Aaron

Hi Aaron,

I'm not a lawyer, but as long as your intention is not to avoid incurring fees, it should be OK.

Thanks Takashi, I'll go ahead with it then. If I happen to run into any legal troubles I'll be sure to refer them here ;-)

You can also deploy your components as different versions of a single
app, then access them as service1.yourid.appspot.com,
service2.yourid.appspot.com, etc. Probably a lot easier than dealing
with separate appids.
