MySQL server gone away

Hi,
I have developed the chat application using php(yii framework) and mysql. I have run the application in my local using cloud sdk, it response well and good, so after that I have deployed it in to google app engine server. It is working but it is not establishing connection with mysql. I am getting following error
CDbConnection failed to open the DB connection: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2006] MySQL server has gone away

my url is http://yiichatsupport-697.appspot.com/user/login
 I have attached the some screen shot for reference, please help me and guide me at the right track

What connection string did you use to connect to CloudSQL? Also is the app authorized to access the CloudSQL instance?

 There's some example code of how to connect to a Cloud SQL instance here: https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/php/cloud-sql/. If you upload that code, do you see a successful connection?

Also, try deauthorizing the app ID (click the little X next to the app ID on the Auth page) then reauthorizing it by copy & pasting the application ID into the prompt. Copying is the important part: don't type out the ID, but copy the ID text from the App Engine console.

I got this error today Mysql Server has gone away. until last night it was working fine and intermittently it keeps coming..what should i do ? please help.

We experienced intermittent connectivity issues with Google Cloud SQL beginning at Friday, 2015-08-14 03:28 US/Pacific. The issue should be resolved for all affected projects as of 08:35 US/Pacific. We will conduct an internal investigation of this issue and make appropriate improvements to our systems to prevent or minimize future recurrence. We will provide a more detailed analysis of this incident once we have completed our internal investigation.
