Google App Engine data loss - are there backups or archives or recovery options?

I was using the following application

A change in the application caused a partial data loss to occur some time after April 10th.

Do I have any hope of recovering my data?  Even a partial recovery from April or before would be better than a complete loss.

The application author is Andrew R <agre...@gmail.com> but was not explicitly making backups, so that is why I am turning to Google to try to help me out.

Some Google storage systems offer automatic backup and version services, but if the application author didn't configure backups then it's unlikely (read: pretty much zero chance) that any backups exist.

In any case, the application author will probably have to ask Google about backups; he's the one with admin access over the app.
