I like to build application that records my family life (add logs,
pictures, videos across years)
I wander if I can trust in another 20 years from now I can still enter
the site and see the history of my family

I think you'd have to regularly update your code every 6 months or so
to keep up with changes Google is making since it's still a new
service and changing rapidly.

First. My sympathies that your condition limits your life expectancy to 20
years... At least that is a lot of heads up an you can prepare.

Second. If you want something to run for 20 years I wouldn't bet on the
internet. Python is only just barely 20 years old. (1989)
Java is barely 15 (1996)

If you want to run something for 20 years you should likely Own the hardware
so that you can maintain it, because 10 years from now we may not be on
HTML. Certainly we will be on IPv6 or later.

Besides the world ends this year, so it really only matters if your platform
will last 11 months.

I don't think you can trust anything for that long

You would be better of with a Facebook account for your family, timeline would suit your needs, but then again Facebook makes changes faster than GAE, so it would be a no-go either
