GeoSpatial Alpha Invite

Can I get an invite to the GeoSpatial Alpha test group?  Or can someone point me to where I should request access?  Googling around folks are saying to post a request to this group so here I am.

This would be for app engine id yodel-1107


This would save me a lot of time

You guys should reconsider this decision and make a special case for the author of the Nimbits project.
I don't know if you know this project. There aren't many success stories on App Engine, this is one

I need to talk to the manager! :-D

I too was looking for the access and reach here.

since beta release may take a long time, I looked into other alternatives and implemented this: https://github.com/bfuster/javageomodel

works well for a small amount of data, no idea on how it will perform on a very large database. any thoughts/suggestions?

No I did not try it.
My requirement is very simple, retrieve nearby points. Data related to these points can be then retrieved from datastore as well. Thanks for the pointer.

There isn't any guarantee but if you have a sales point of contact, you can get in touch with them to see if they can manage to make an exception and provide you with an invitation to the closed Alpha program. Otherwise, you can always get in touch with a sales person by filling out this form.

Also, a necessary warning: if granted access it will be a good idea to use the feature in a sandbox environment only as Alpha features may contain heavy bugs and break your data.

Is it possible to find out what the status of geospatial is alpha, beta never gonna happen.  It's amazing how bad documentation is for google app engine.
