I am building search functionality in my application and would love to stay in Node.js (currently on Node.js app engine standard). Is the Node.js client library being worked on:
https://github.com/google/google-api-nodejs-client/issues/668
I am willing to wait. It would be great, if the GAE team can confirm the availability in the near future, even if you can give us the ETA.
thanks,
mani

Hi,
it is not a matter of client library: the Search API is not available in the Node.js runtime for the App Engine standard environment.
This means that we have no solution for you at this point.
Maybe take a look at third party "search as a service"? For example
