Hello,

how do I restore GAE data store which are stored in the Cloud Storage? The current Documentation https://cloud.google.com/appengine/docs/adminconsole/datastoreadmin#restoring_data does not work due GAE Console changes.

The old Datastore Admin page is in a new location, as is the Disable writes button:
  1. In the left menu, navigate to Storage > Cloud Datastore > Settings
  2. Click on Disable writes as suggested in the docs (you can also re-enable them here)
  3. Or click on Open Datastore Admin - page content and functionality should be the same as described in the docs

Thank you Anastasios.

It's not the "disable writes" I cannot find but the backup list and the "restore" button. This is no 3. and 4. from the "Restoring data" section here: https://cloud.google.com/appengine/docs/adminconsole/datastoreadmin#restoring_data

Above the "Disable writes" button there should be the "Open Datastore Admin" button. It will open the same page as described in the docs, including the backup and restore features. At least in my apps the page looks almost the same as in the old console. It's just the navigation to the page that has changed.

Thank you so much Anastasios - I must have been blind. It's there your are right.

I think the back and forth between the different consoles confused me. The buttons in the new console have very low contrast. "Problem" solved :)

Adam, great! Although the contrast is fine on my MBP Retina display, I had to calibrate my second screen that usually shows the console, because the grey elements were easily to oversee on it. I got used to it by now and really like it.
