Will there be support for WebP 0.2 image format?

Will app engine image transformations use 0.2? Also, what version is it using now and how can you tell?

It will take one or two releases for us to pick up the latest libraries from the webp team.

I don't think there's any way to tell what version of a particular library we're using - you could open a feature request in the image tracker if you think there's a good use case for it.
