App Engine Flexible Environment - free tier?

I understand App Engine Standard has free tier for each project, however, I haven't been able to find any information whether this is true for the Flexible environment (which supports much more languages, including Ruby/Node.js recently). Does the Flexible environment also has a free tier for each project (besides the $300 trial for compute, which isn't technically a free tier)?

As mentioned in App Engine Pricing:

Instances within the flexible environment are charged the cost of the underlying Google Compute Engine Virtual Machines. This is Beta-only pricing and will increase once the flexible environment is GA. All other services and APIs are priced as described below.
