Hello,
20th jan, 9pm , gmt -3 , we suffered 10 minutes of datastore issues, receiving too much datastore contention exceptions. mostly it was an outage.
Requests solved usually in a matter of milliseconds -during the issue- demanded more than one minute and then we get an exception at the end.
If we go to https://status.cloud.google.com all was ok
Is there a better dashboard to get the actual and updated status of the GAE infrastructure?
We are using app engine, java and mysql

i don't know of a better place to check on system status.
most of the time when i have these sorts of errors it is because i had a spike in traffic, or newer code is finally hit by our users. though sometimes there are slowdowns in the overall system.
can you check on request load to see if you had a spike? any chance that your logs can help see if it was a DB slowdown or if your java instances were performing poorly during that time period?

there was no spike in traffic nor any code change
it seems there was an infrastructure issue
I have silver support and I filled a case but it seems no one can give an answer nor any conclusive data
It seems we need to survive with this kind of items, but there is no gauge to see the health status of the system
In the past there was some graphics showing perfomance (I remember fibonacci performance, etc.) but i lost the link or may be it is obsolete now

Hello,
The Google Cloud Status dashboard is indeed the best place to check for any outages in Google Cloud Platform. You can also follow the Google App Engine Downtime Notify or Google Compute Engine Operations group, however outages may not be posted there first.

months ago there was some detailed charts and graphs to see real time fashion system health info, now it seems it is not longer available
Is it yet accessible or it was deprecated?

Do you have a link to the dashboard you're referring to? I can't find any references to other sources of App Engine status/outage information.
If you're looking to check status specific to your project, the following tools can provide you with related information:
- Google Cloud Monitoring (Beta)
- Logs Viewer (Beta)
