Hi,

There are several PRs in the webapp2 github repository, amongst them PRs that solve issues for migrating to Python3.
I understand that webapp2 is community-maintained, but someone still needs to approve PRs and push releases to PyPI. Is anyone of the maintainers still watching this repository?

thanks,
Remko

Hello Remko,

By looking into the link you provided,  I was able to notice that this particular repository is supported by its own set of contributors. Due to this, you may feel free to reach out to the team through their issue tracker here[1]. This will ensure you would be getting the most accurate information from the appropriate team that is currently supporting this.

Also, based on my research into Webapp I can see that PyPI currently has introduced the Webapp3[2] package. You may verify if using Webapp3 can fulfill your particular use case of it.

Hi Shawn,

Due to this, you may feel free to reach out to the team through their issue tracker here[1].

I tried reaching out in various cases, but nobody seems to be watching. That's why I tried this group as a last resort (under
the assumption that webapp2 is historically an important part of GAE, and hence important in e.g. Py2->Py3 migrations).

Also, based on my research into Webapp I can see that PyPI currently has introduced the Webapp3[2] package.

That package seems to be a clone of the webapp2 README, with search and replace of 2->3 (including all links). That page is
therefore full of dead links, so that doesn't sound like a trustworthy package at all.

thanks,
Remko

Hello Remko,

To provide the best effort to help the issue, I reached out to the team internally by email to express your interest in having your PR request [1] approved.

However, please keep in mind that the PRs might take some time to be reviewed before approval. We cannot promise each PR will be approved and be pushed into the repo, and we cannot provide an ETA for the  approval procedure to be completed.
