GAE Launcher no longer works

I have a website for App Engine Python for quite some time. To update my website, I used to rely on Google App Engine Launcher client for Windows.  Now that the App Engine is deprecated and the GAE Launcher no longer works. I try to download Cloud SDK, but do not know how to proceed to get a replacement for the GAE Launcher.  The documentations on Google site are so confusing. Can anyone help on this? I just need to update my website (GAE Application) regularly as before!

There is a very approachable quickstart on installing the Cloud SDK along basic gcloud commands, which can be found here [1]. You can also refer to this documentation [2] on how to deploy via the gcloud command, ("gcloud app deploy"), which is also used to deploy a new updated version. Finally, you can find all relevant commands to App Engine in this gcloud reference link [3].

Hi,

I encountered this problem around September of last year. I was aware GAE Launcher had been deprecated but the version I had still worked, so I kept on using it till around Aug/Sep when Google stopped supporting 'appcfg.py' commands (GAE Launcher used appcfg.py).

I love the ease of use of a GUI and so decided to build a replacement/alternative - https://nocommandline.com . I'm looking for early adopters/testers. If you're still missing GAE Launcher, consider giving the tool a trial and give us your feedback.
