Could not initialize NSS

to Google App Engine

While deploying my application, I got this error while it was trying
to initiate update;

Initiating update.
java.security.ProviderException: Could not initialize NSS

I didn't get any useful dashboard log in app engine
I wonder what would cause this error and how to solve it

I'm using JSF 2.0 and PrimeFaces

Old issue but I ran into a similar symptom that was due to a bad debian update:

I just needed to point nss.cfg to the right location of the nss library. I'm not sure if you had the same problem but thought I would post all the same.
