The dashboard shows all is well, but I’m getting errors when I try to deploy an Python2.7 app using the old appcfg.py

HTTP Error 500: Internal Server Error. Aborting.
Error 500: --- begin server output ---

Server Error

A server error has occurred.

--- end server output ---

When I look at Activity in my dashboard (hoping to see what the error actually is), that’s reporting an error as well:

Just me? Or is this widespread?

I guess it's an outage.

ERROR: (gcloud.app.deploy) INTERNAL: Internal error encountered.

The appengine dashboard, Versions page has trouble loading the Activity sidebar as well "The server has timed out while trying to process your request."

You can check directly GCP Status Dashboard - https://status.cloud.google.com/

As now the only service affected is: Google Cloud infrastructure components

Hope this help

As mentioned by Alberto Vicente,

This issue was caused by the incident with the incident with [Google Cloud infrastructure components][1], which affected multiple services.
