Today - Apr 5, 2011: Scheduled Maintenance Period

Maintenance on the App Engine service started at 5 pm PST. We began
the read-only period for Datastore Master/Slave customers at 5:30
PST.

Unfortunately, an issue encountered as part of the maintenance period
has caused the downtime period to last longer than expected. We
currently expect read-only to complete between 6:15 and 6:30 pm PST
and will update this thread as we have a more accurate target.

The maintenance window wrapped up at 6:25 PDT this evening. Thank you
all for your patience during the minor overtime that we had. The
datastore and memcache are back to read-write now, and your apps
should be back to normal.

One note of clarification is that although HR datastore users are not
affected by the maintenance periods, deployments are, so you cannot
upload regardless of which type of datastore your app uses.

Finally, our next scheduled maintenance will be at the same time
nearly two weeks from now: Wednesday, 2011 April 20, 5pm (1700) PDT/
12m (0000) Thursday, 2011 April 21 GMT
