Brief App Engine Service Outage June 17th, 2010 (3:20 - 3:50am PST)

This morning the App Engine service experienced a brief service
outage. App Engine applications as were returning error code 500s in
response to valid requests during this period.
The outage was caused by an issue with low level infrastructure and
affected a few Google services in addition to App Engine. The App
Engine Site Reliability team responding to the alert that the system
was down and worked with the infrastructure Site Reliability team to
recover from the problem quickly.
Note: This outage was not related to the on-going Datastore service
