YouTube Content ID API - Java SDK for Java 7

Hi,

The Java SDK available on this page: https://developers.google.com/youtube/partner/client_libraries is built for Java 8. Is it possible to get a version built for Java 7?

If I'm not mistaken, java 8 was built on java 7.  Any new features added will only be available on the 8 platform.  However, there is still support available for 7.

The problem is that when a JAR is compiled it is compiled against a particular version of Java, so this JAR will only work with Java 8. It would be great if someone with access to the source code at Google could compile one against Java 7.
