I am just wondering if the limit of 1000 queries per day is going to
be fixed at that rate or if is it just temporaty thing for beta/lab
api.

I develop gae app + mobile app which uses book search with old google
api and 1000 queries limit for me is useless (I would need 10k and
later maybe even more). So as I have to migrate from old api which is
going to be depreceated on 1st of December I am wondering, if I still
use the google API or if I should fully switch to Amazon webservices
(I am already using it in my app as alternative search as sometime
google doesnt return anything for some queries while amazon does) +
Open Library.

Thansk for any info.

Cheers,

Tomas.

Tomas,

That is a good question to ask on the Google Books Help Forums:

Tomas,

You can request more quota for your project:

1. Go to the API Console (https://code.google.com/apis/console)
2. Select "Quotas" on the left navigation pane.
3. Click on the "Request more..." link and submit the form.

Your quota request should be processed within a few business days at most.  Basically we want to hear from our developers so we know what type of traffic they are sending, so we can add resources to accommodate them as necessary.  But from what you describe, perhaps 100K/day, should not be a problem.

Can you send us some sample search queries that are not returning results for you?  We can see if there is really no results, or if there are some other problems on our end.  Thank you!
