Schedule reports error: "You do not have permission to call showModalDialog"

I am trying to schedule some reports for my Adwords and Analytics but I keep receiving the error "You do not have permission to call showModalDialog".

Any possible solutions for someone that isn't too techy?

Just tried contacting the "owner" of the group in hopes of elevating this issue. Can't run any reports currently.

Hey all, I've seen all these reports and have filed a bug internally with the add-ons team, so hopefully it gets resolved quickly.

I've not been able to reproduce this myself, so if anyone here could explain exactly how they're getting this error, that would be helpful. Screenshots/video recording as well as browser/OS info is also helpful.

Of course, it didn't work. Attached screenshot instead. 

Add-ons > Google Analytics > Run Reports causes the error. 

Browser: Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Different error message, but I suspect it's related. What I do:

1. Opened a relatively new, empty Google Sheet.
2. Under Add-Ons menu, select Google Analytics >> Create New Report.
3. I get the "Working" message with spinny arrows.
4. Then I get "You do not have permission to call showSidebar".

FWIW, using Chrome on a MacBook Pro. Also using a sheet that doesn't have an existing report, so the error message difference may be due to trying to create one as opposed to a different message if updating one.

and getting that message. I un- and re-installed the GA add on and still receive the message. I'm using Chrome Version 62.0.3202.89.

Hello, I'm getting the same error. I tried another report that successfully connected earlier this week and it is also generating the same error message. 

I just ran an update on my chrome browser and my computer and that did not help.  I suspect it is an issue witht app. Hope this gets resolved soon. Reports due by 15th.

Same problem here :0(  any news on the topic?  They must have made some changes in the backend. I have never before seen any problems with this fine add-on after running a valid query.

Good news! I've just talked to one of the engineers on the Add-ons teams. He's identified the change that caused the issue, and he's rolling it back.

Hopefully things will be back to normal soon.
