sheets addon returning sampled data from custom table

My custom tables have unsampled data in Google Analytics, and my google sheets reporting addon was fetching unsampled data from them with a daily schedule. 

Yesterday I noticed the addon is returning sampled data, even though the data in my custom tables is unsampled. Why is this happening? How can I fix this?

I have several custom tables, all of them have custom segments, and within Google Analytics they are working as they should. So the issue is related to the addon.

Has the change in the reporting API for Google analytics affected the addon? I see the addon used the Core Reporting API (last version was 3), which appears to be replaced by a new Analytics Reporting API v4.

If this is causing the change, will the google sheets addon be updated to retrieve data using the new v4 Analytics Reporting API?

Hey Tobias, there was a bug in the API related to this that's been fixed. I believe things should work now. Let me know if it doesn't.

In case this happens again, is it possible to create a Google App Script report using GA APIV4 that creates an unsampled report (using management API) if the report is sampled? I see you updated the reporting API but I don't know if you are updating the management API as well.

It's technically possible if you wanted to try doing it yourself, but it's not something I'm planning on adding to this add-on.

One of the main hurdles you'd face is if you're requesting unsampled data and you want to put it in a Google Sheet, you'll likely run into the 2 million cell limit (I think that's still the limit), so even if you get it working, it may not actually be usable with Google Sheets.

Hi, I am still getting this error.

I have an unsampled segmented report on GA but sampled in addon.

We have g.a. premium for this property and it is a report with 2 lines but uses 3kk sessions on GA. on the sheet report we got 1kk sessions and sampled data.

The sampling in the API is different from the sampling in GA for premium properties, you're probably just noticing this difference.

Since you didn't use the words "custom tables" I'm assuming this is a different issue from what Tobias reported.

They are custom tables, with custom segments. In GA there is no sampling, but I get sampled data in the addon
