Hi all,

I have the GA add on running on a handful of Google Sheets that I typically schedule for every 30 minutes.

I don't use the add-on too dynamically aside from having some filtering that changes based on selections on other tabs (ie, if you filter by x on one tab, it will change the filtering on the Report Configuration tab to only return website analytics for x)

This morning, seemingly arbitrarily, I started getting the following error:

Exception: We're sorry, a server error occurred. Please wait a bit and try again.

When I tried to manually "run report" in the add-on menu. Now, all of the scheduled reports don't run and also return this message. Further, and most intriguing, when I go to "Create a report", I also get this message. Seemingly anything I do regarding the add-on at this point returns this message. I'm confused because I haven't done anything out of the box and am making no sort of API call or using any sort of external methods.

I've cleared my cache and cookies, to no avail.

Does anyone know the deal here?

Seems to be a global issue. Finding Stack Exchange posts about the same thing.

glad to hear it's not just me and likely not something I screwed up..!

is there no sort of live reporting on issues we can refer to from Google themselves?

Hi,

I Have also started to receive such messages on one of my scripts.
I have several Spreadsheets which I use to load / download data.
For some cases it works, but for one, it does.
I have taken the data of the impacted case, put it in a different file ( which was previously working ) , and load it with Success.

Could you please advice what should I do in order to fix this issue ?
Thank you in advance.

I am still experiencing this error intermittently. Can't find the exact error.

I get close to 75 of these error emails every day. All functionality works fine, but it's blowing up my inbox

I have isolated this error in only certain scripts concerning DriveApp.getRootFolder().
I have a few identical projects that ll use this, but only one of them has a problem. I've tried looking for the permissions that are authorized on the various projects, but it seems as though every scope that needs to be authorized is. I'm not sure where to go from here except to rebuild the project.

Hi, got my solution
In the script -> Resources -> Advanced google services -> turn on Drive API
Click in below message " Google Cloud Platform API Dashboard" to open de cloud project for the script. With the project selected, search in the search bar "Drive API" -> ENABLE, do the same for "Google Drive API".
Done, no more "we're are sorry server error" for DriveApp functions in the script.
Also: I enabled other APIs and advanced services Drive Activity API, just in case...

Merci Nicolás Paulino

In the script -> Resources -> Advanced google services -> turn on Drive API

Hells Bells, only 1 day lost until finding this, so many experiments to get it working ...  if a particular api isn't enabled they could return "enable [ API Name Here ] api" instead of " error ....try again in bit"

I was able to solve this problem by enabling Google Drive API in the Google Cloud Platform:

I'm still getting the "Exception: We're sorry, a server error occurred. Please wait a bit and try again." error.

Is there a workaround to fetch the error via script and trigger a delayed retry?

Cheers
