Hi,

great to see the GA4 addon live and thank you for your help with this.

Has anyone figured out how to format a filter correctly?

I've tried a few combinations based on the GA4 api request format linked from the addon documentation, but keep getting a dimensionName unspecified error

eg
"dimensionName": "ga:eventCategory",

"operator": "EXACT",

"expressions": ["Outbound Link"]

I'm sure it's simple once you know how - just wondering how... :)

Thanks for your help

I found this in the V4 documentation:
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/core/v4/basics#filtering_2

Which appears to be pretty close to what you were trying, but it has no effect. I actually don't even get an error no matter what I try in that field/cell.

It seems to me that they are not configured to work yet, but I presume they will be implemented in the future due to there being fields for them on the Report Configuration sheet. Same with the skip field - that doesn't appear to work yet.

It looks like we just received an early alpha version. Better than nothing and an indication that the add-on will not be discontinued.

When I asked for updated documentation and the missing schedule feature, I received a  »we're working on it«   from Google.
