Sampling thresholds

Does anyone know at what point Google Analytics spreadsheet add-on starts sampling data? 

Is it based on a number of sessions in the Profile, sessions in the Property or other qualifier? Does it take into account if someone is GA Premium member?

Yes, I have seen that, it doesn't answer why Google Sheets add-on starts sampling my data at 1 million sessions even though we have Google Premium. Maybe that is a default number for everybody and Google Sheet does not recognize Google Premium vs Non Premium data pulls?

The Google Analytics Spreadsheet Add-on uses the Core and MCF reporting APIs under the hood, so if you're having sampling issues, I suggest reporting them on the issue tracker:

1) The Add-on must be recognizing that the account is a Premium account or it would not begin sampling at 1M sessions

What happens when you run the same report against a non-premium account from the same login?

2) Just to be certain, are you setting the Sampling level to HIGHER_PRECISION ?

We have the same problem with the API sampling level on a Premium account. It's already been reported on the issue tracker: https://code.google.com/p/analytics-issues/issues/detail?id=560

By the way, I was told that HIGHER_PRECISION is now the default, and it returns the same results as not setting a sampling level.

Hi Brian,

1. Good to know that it shouldn't sample at 1M sessions. I don't have a non-premium acccount to test at this time.

2. Yes, I do include Higher_Precision sampling level in my setup even though I noticed no difference in my tests with or without it. Sampling occurs at the same time....
