Hi, quick question —

After a bit of searching, it doesn’t appear that we can retrieve custom dimensions/metrics (using analytics.js) or customVars (ga.js) using the Real Time Reporting API. Is this correct or am I simply missing something?

Thanks,
Phil

That is correct, custom dimensions, metrics, vars are not available in the Real Time Reporting API.

Sorry to reply to an old thread.  Do we know if Google have any plans to include custom variables/dimensions/metrics in the realtime API in the future?

I really don't want to change my tracking code to append parameters to the URL (or even worse, ask dev to append them to the actual URL) to work around this.
