Hi all,

I have a webapp that uses the GA Real Time API, and apparently lately each day exceeds the daily quota limit with this error:

(403) Quota Error: profileId ga:XXX has exceeded the daily request limit.

But it's not true, since in the API Report i can see that my app only uses about the half of what its entitled (50k)

I have configured 3 request/second/user but according to the Cloud Console report I only use 0.3 request/second on average.

Any idea why I'm hitting the quota limit and how to fix it?

Thanks!

apparently besides the 50k queries, there is also a limit of 10k queries /user/day. I'm interested in knowing more as well and how can we raise it

As far as I know the only way to raise the 10k limit is to purchase.

This is documented on the Limits and Quotas page:

There are also instructions on how to request additional quota, but the previous comment is correct that you can only request an increase to the quota for the number of daily project requests. So this is really only applicable if you're using the Real-Time Reporting API for with >5 profiles.

Keep in mind that this API is still in private beta so the current quota doesn't necessarily reflect the policy that may be in place for public and general availability of the API. Also, during this period the recommendation posted at the top of the group is to make 1 query every 30s, which works out to 2880 requests/day, well under the 10k limit. I recommend you check out Quota Management section of the dev guide for further details.

I apologize in advance if this has been answered, and I know everyone works hard to make the documentation clear, but it's actually quite confusing simply because there are so many different quotas for those of us with many projects.

Currently, the main quota I'm having trouble with is 10,000 / day for Real Time Data.  I would be happy to pay for additional queries, and although I do see random mentions of that as an option, I'm not seeing where I can actually do that?  Could someone please help?  We have a few projects mid-swing that could really benefit from an increased quota.

Best, and thank you for your help.

-Kris

There is no paid option for increased quota of the 10k limit.

However, some details on your use case and why the 10k requests/day per view limit is not sufficient would be helpful feedback.
