I am manually tracking certain Events using the Universal Analytics Management Protocol in PHP.
I can see my user registration Events happening in the Analytics Real-time viewer, but ultimately they are not being stored in the archive (Behavior -> Events -> Top Events), even after 72 hours have passed.
The issue seems to be affecting 90%, but not all Events.
All Category and Label variables are the same each time, the only variables that differ are client ID and user ID.
This problem started happening on the 6th of August. It was fine before that time.
Is there anyway I can debug why this is happening?
All help most welcome!

Have you tried manually query the API instead of using the website? That might help you figure out what's going on.

This tool is great for easily running queries:

I just built a .net wrapper for logging events and am experiencing the same thing!

More info below (as opposed to my original "me too!" post):

I am actually experiencing the exact same problem. Similar to OP's issue, I can see these events on the Real-Time dashboard no problem, but as far as I can tell I can see no trace of these events elsewhere, even through custom reports and after 30 hours. Attached is a screenshot of the response showing it is a 200 OK response that I receive (unless I were to go over the rate limit). Here is what the raw request looks like:

Content-Length: 95
Expect: 100-continue
Connection: Keep-Alive

v=1&tid=UA-52982625-3&cid=developer&t=event&ea=test+action&ec=test+category&el=test+label&ev=10
}

Here is another post from someone else about the issue:

My code is freely available on GitHub at the following link. I'm trying to build a .NET wrapper for logging events (for starters) so others don't have to go through this pain in the future.

I will send a virtual high-five or hug if anyone has an explanation for this. Thanks in advance.

False alarm! I'm embarrassed to say I just had the wrong date filter on Universal Analytics and wasn't including today's data. Data from yesterday never actually showed up but I just set up the property yesterday morning so I'm not surprised or concerned about losing 1 day of data. Nothing to see here... move it along. :P

Hi Philip,
I have two weeks of logged Universal Analytics API calls recording my Registration events, along with the returned GIF pixel for each. These logs do not correspond with what Analytics has stored, even when I use a cache buster parameter. Can I send you the logs for investigation? I really would like to get to the bottom of this.

It looks like a bug has already been entered for this, so it will likely be fixed in the near future.

I wouldn't worry about your data as the problem doesn't appear to be related to the collection of the data, just how it's reported.

Hello, I'm having the same problem. A lot of real time events but only a few in the reports. Does anyone have any news?

Regards
Guillermo
