Events not showing up in real-time view

Perhaps I'm being impatient but from reading other posts here I get the impression that real-time data should be just as its name implies, so ....

I am trying out Google Analytics for the first time, using the Measurement Protocol to send events. This is a sample event:

POST to http://www.google-analytics.com/collect with data "ea=complete&v=1&tid=UA-54745161-1&ev=182257&ec=play&el=LocalMusic&cid=224feb88-171a-4c0b-9c76-725b87a26076&t=event", for example.

Headers:

User-Agent: BluOS/0.0.0 dev

Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded;charset=UTF-8

I get a 200 response with a 1 x 1 GIF for data.

I see no events in the console.

I guess I'm doing something dumb but I cannot see what.

FYI, the measurement protocol always returns 200, regardless of validity of the request. This is due to the sheer number of requests its receiving.

In the future we're hoping to develop a tool to help validate measurement protocol hits, but at this point there's really no good way to test a particular request. If it were me, I'd just start removing optional parameters until you got something that was working, and then add them back in one-by-one until you figure out what's wrong.

So, having waited a couple of days, the data shows up in the normal reporting console under Behaviour / Events. I am still unable to see these events in the real-time view.

Still the same. Reported data just fine after a day but no real-time data.
