I've seen the apps and tried excellentanalytics.com but my Excel is
too old for it.

I am really surprised to find that Google (with their data
accessibility pronouncements) don't provide a simple way to export
data. Even more surprised that I can't find a free third party tool.

Have I missed one?

Thanks

Mark

automateanalytics.com a.k.a. Mikael's page. He has been giving away
Google Analytics query code since the API came out and is written up
everywhere there is a comparison. Surprised you didn't come across
it. Excel VBA code, which he states is 2003 compatible.

Also (as I'm sure you already know)

Custom reports in the web interface has an export to CSV option.

If you need to automate pulling of data, you can also use our free
API.

Thanks both mike3s and Nick. Your pointers are both useful.

Didn't know about the export from reports option, despite searching
Google it didn't show up. I think the GA UI is frequently obtuse, and
web search is creaky these days with so much spam SEO.

I am so far unable to get Mikael's stuff working in Excel 2000 (or
OpenOffice Calc), but the CSV report is probably adequate so I'll try
that.

Hi Mark,

Here is a resource comparing all of the leading GA API tools, which
might be of use in your search for a free tool to export GA data.

Hi Mark,

Disclaimer : I work for Tatvic.

You can use Tatvic Excel plugin, for your older version of excel , it
should work.

While its not free of cost (not many good things are apart from GA
API :) , If you can let me know the purpose of use , I will be happy
to help to structure it out, appropriately for you.

Best,
Ravi

Hi Mark,

Chris Harrington from ShufflePoint here. Our service is not free, but
we do support older versions of Excel and also OpenOffice.
