Is there a way to automate google analytics data retrieval into mysql ?

Hello, 

I am wondering if it is possible to automate a weekly google analytics data download and save it to mysql. I would like to use PHP and MYSQL or java with Mysql. 

If there is can any one share their code or point me to the right direction.

If you are looking for a tool to be able to automate, my company makes one-  Analytics Canvas.  It has connectors to a number of databases, including MySQL, connects to all of Google Analytics APIs, and handles all the multiple API calls and connection to the DB for you.  With an automation version you can run multiple extract/transform/load jobs from the command line.
