"Core Reporting API" not showing in Developer's Console

Hi, I'm following the authorization instructions at https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/core/v3/gdataAuthorization which says that I must enable the "Core Reporting API", but it's not in the list. Google Analytics is working fine through the GUI. Any ideas please - must be a NOOB error...?
