Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
 
Job Description
Oversee the following activities:
Claims data analysis
Claims system analysis
Research of Plan and industry best practices
Recommendations of process and system enhancements
Documentation of business requirements for system enhancements
Metrics reporting
Ensure required project artifacts are created and maintained.
Manage testing plans according to FEP Project Management Life Cycle.
Collaborate with Business Analysts to develop Use Cases and Verification Scenarios.
Ensure that key project deliverables are met.
Ensure that all risks and issues are reported, monitored and escalated.
Actively participate in project status meetings.
Provide weekly, monthly and ad-hoc status reports as requested. .
Attend various meetings as directed by the Business Owner and be accountable for action items.
Lead Plan-facing meetings on testing and verification activities.

Qualifications:
Strong health insurance background with at least 7-10 years experience, preferably within Medicare
Strong leadership skills
Experience verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Experience in business analysis and requirement development.
Understanding of claims processing and claims data elements
Ability to analyze large subsets of claims data
Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision
Ability to lead and manage a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary team

Additional Skills and Experience:
Excellent interpersonal skill
Ability to adapt to changing environment
Knowledge of RequisitePro, ClearQuest, Microsoft Project, and Visio
Specific knowledge of Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program is a plus
Specific experience with Medicare coordination is a plus
