Disable gfSlideshow Autoplay

Does anyone know how to easily disable the autoplay/autorun/autostart for the gfSlideshow?  Basically I need the slideshow to be manual, not automatic.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I went searching through the gfSlideshow code, and while it will pause and offer a variety of controls under different circumstances, I'm not seeing any option to prevent it from starting automatically when loaded. You go in and alter the script, but to be honest, it would probably be easier and better (performance-wise, particularly) to rewrite the control utilizing CSS transitions. It would be a fun exercise; perhaps I'll try to build one later if I get a chance.
