example: embed google image search into C++ code

I'm a new member to this group.
I need to embed google image search into my existing C++ project.
Shortly put, consider this:
1, A program accepts user input string and posts the string as query
to google image search.
2, The returned images (or a subset of all) are saved into a folder on
local machine.
How can I accomplish this? I really need someone to give me an EXAMPLE
to get it started.

1. This is a community forum that offers free help. In other words, don't expect us to write your application for you.
2. The Image Search API has been deprecated. This means that the service will be shut down at some point no later than May 2014. The API's deprecation policy states that, while Google will make efforts to maintain the service, it reserves the right to unilaterally determine that doing so is no longer feasible and subsequently terminate the service at any time without notice. In short, you probably want to find a better solution.

None of these datacentric API's have EVER been economically feasible
and mostly not because most of them have not been accompanied with
AdWord streams that we would display - not only to offset the cost but
also to make a penny or two.
The whole model has been broken from day one and it has never been
re-thought - not even when they announced possible paid services
because the same way that HUGE GOOG can not afford to subsidize
unfeasible projects do they really think that there are companies who
can subsidize API costs from their already likely thing online revenue
streams. Sorry, GOOG that we have known, it no longer exists because
it is in the process of morphing itself solely into big business
related services.
