Google Feeds Api Very Slow

Why is the google feed api so slow? lookup and load feeds are taking
1.5 minutes to complete - this is a lot longer than most visitors are
willing to wait around.

Hi,

This sounds a bit weird as the internal system should time out long
before then (1.5 minutes to complete). If it takes more then 5-10
seconds I will get a load error where I can try to load it again (due
to previous caching bug) or provide a link to try again instead of
putting it on a timer with a flag.

Maybe a link to your app will help (I can see if I have the same
issue), maybe there are other things causing issues. Additionally, you

Select the "Feed Search" option from the settings link under the
Google search box to switch to feed searching and loading.

See if you have the same issue on my site as yours.
