Google web search API (deprecated) stop working for me

Hi All,

  For any reason web search API stop working for me at all.

  https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/search/local?sll=51.51121389999999,-0.1198244&v=1.0&rsz=8&start=0&q=pizza&hl=en

  Any ideas why?

When I ping that url, I get a suspected TOS violation message. This may be an error on Google's side, but given that we are now nearly three months past the Local Search API's sunset date (the service's deprecation was announced on November 1, 2010), I think it's probably fair to assume that the sun has set on the Local Search API. Depending on your usage, you might check out these alternatives:

Google Places API: https://developers.google.com/places/documentation/

Google Geocoding API: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/

Bing Maps Services: http://www.microsoft.com/maps/choose-your-bing-maps-API.aspx

Yahoo! BOSS: http://developer.yahoo.com/boss/
