Suspected terms of abuse

Hi all,

I am currently using the maps api v3 to try and geocode postcodes/zip codes to lat/lng.

Everything was working fine up until yesterday and I started getting an error while performing the lookup.

I had a look at the headers and responses and noticed the following response after I clicked on my lookup button:

google.search.LocalSearch.RawCompletion('0', null, 403, 'Suspected Terms of Service Abuse. Please see http://code.google.com/apis/errors', 200)

I have had a look at the webpage and I am following everything in there but it still hasn't unblocked me. Just wondering if you guys and gals had any more information that I could try out to see if it will get resolved.

I am using "<script src="http://maps.googleapis.com/maps?key={MY KEY}&sensor=false" type="text/javascript"></script>" to request api access.

I am stumped as to what is happening now.

It's not just you. The reality is that the Local Search API's deprecation was announced November 1, 2010. Under the TOS, Google would maintain the service for three years after that date and then discontinue it. We are now three months past the TOS-defined sunset date. In short, you will probably want to find an alternative. Here are some suggestions, which I posted yesterday when the outage was first reported to the group.
