Google Custom Search Engine Restrict Autocompletion

Hello,

I'm able to get autocompletion and custom site search thanks to google's API. Unfortunately I'm not able to restrict the autocompletion to a list of items in an xML file. Is this even possible ? How can I intercept the entered values before they get passed on to Google's search?
