I have a blog at:

http://ncncacxnews.blogspot.com/

the rss feed address is:

http://ncncacxnews.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default

and properly shows all the most recent posts.

But when I try to use the Feeds API to show posts, it is not showing
the most recent posts:

http://www.ncnca.org/cyclocross/test.html

And I notice if I use the atom.xml feed address (http://
ncncacxnews.blogspot.com/atom.xml) it shows nothing at all:

http://www.ncnca.org/cyclocross/test2.html

And no JS errors.

This is the only blog I am having this problem with - the others work
fine. The problem does not appear to be with Feedfetcher because the
RSS feeds look fine and the I can see the latest postings in Google
Reader.

I have been beating my head against the wall trying to solve
this...please help!

with an RSS Feed at:

http://ncncacxnews.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default

or

http://ncncacxnews.blogspot.com/atom.xml

The RSS Feeds appear to work fine in other RSS Readers, including
Google Reader.

In the Google Feeds API I am not getting the most recent post, if I
use the example API code to load my feed, this is what I see:

http://www.ncnca.org/cyclocross/test.html

which is missing the most recent post - which is now 1 day old.

If i use the atom.xml feed, I get no results:

http://www.ncnca.org/cyclocross/test2.html

I'm not seeing any JS errors.

Why would the Feeds API not show the latest posts even though the Feed
itself appears to work fine?

Please Help!

Thanks,
-John

The Feeds API actually caches feeds to manage server load. The cache
is updated regularly, but the interval varies depending on the traffic
of your feed. In general, the update will happen less than once per
hour. In other words, check your control in two or three hours and
see if it doesn't update.

Jeremy,

Thanks for your reply but I don't think this is the problem.

I have had this problem ongoing with this blog for months - it won't
show the latest posts even when they are months old. And why the
problem with the atom.xml feed?

Any other insights?

Thanks,
-John

Hey Funkdaddy --

I'm not seeing the same problem... I just took your RSS feed URL and put it into a basic hello world Feed API script.  You can see the results here:
http://lisbakken.com/ajaxapi/hello_world/hello_world_feed.html

I see all of your posts.  Maybe I am misunderstanding the problem?

Ben, thanks!

So... I didn't use includeHistoricalEntries() - didn't even consider
it because it didn't seem relevant - when I comment that out of your
code it also hides the most recent post.

But...isn't that the OPPOSITE of what you would expect? The most
recent post isn't historical at all...there still seems to be
something strange about this feed.

Anyhow, from now on I'll use includeHistoricalEntries() in my feed
calls.

Thanks so much!

BTW using includeHistoricalEntries() has one other bad side effect -
shows deleted posts which are definitely an eyesore...
