Admob xcode error

Hi,

I have loaded the SDK and have test ads working in my IOS app (via xcode).  I get the warning message "'bottomLayoutGuide' was deprecated in iOS 11.0: Use view.safeAreaLayoutGuide.bottomAnchor instead of bottomLayoutGuide.topAnchor" but when I make that change the app crashes with no xcode errors displayed.

Any help?

Thank you for the details provided.

Have you followed this guide for rendering AdMob Ads in the Safe Area? Could you provide to us a copy of your project (or at least a test project) that can reproduce the issue so we can test it on our end as well? You may provide this to us privately using Reply privately to author option.

I have the same problem, simply follow instructions on https://developers.google.com/admob/ios/banner and it crashes (adding adView programmatically). Your guide link contains the same problem, bottomLayoutGuide is no longer available, if we follow xcode's suggested replacement for it (view.safeAreaLayoutGuide.bottomAnchor) it will crash. What should we use??

Could you share with us a copy of your project (or at least a test project) where you are programmatically adding the GADBannerView so we can have a closer look on your implementation? You may use Reply privately to author option.

Hi everyone,

We were able to reproduce the crash when we used the view.safeAreaLayoutGuide.bottomAnchor attribute as well. On the other hand, when we used the view.safeAreaLayoutGuide, the crash is not reproducible.

That said, we have raised this to the team and we'll get back to you for any feedback.
