Dear team,

My app is alive on App Store. I set Ad frequency capping before to 1 impression / 20 minutes. But the ads pop up every time, it is really a bad user experience.

Did a quick test, but the ads (open or interstitial ad), they both pop up each time they are triggered in my code. It is not align with the caping settings. So is this the correct behavior? Or I need some more set? Please advice.

Hi Film,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

With regard to your concern, since you mentioned that you were able to see interstitial ads on your end, then it's safe to assume that your code implementation of the Mobile Ads SDK is fine. As per your dashboard, the information there is not live. We would recommend to wait for at least 24 to 48 hours before the impression report will show on the UI.

Hi Film,

Allow me to explain further and reclarify my previous email. The configuration settings that you set on the AdMob dashboard will sometimes delay as same as showing impressions on the dashboard. With that all said, we would recommend waiting for at least 24 to 48 hours. As an aside, we encourage our publishers to avoid testing ads using their live ad unit ID to avoid your account being flagged for invalid activity.

Dear team,

Thanks for your quick reply.

I also notice that an alert said your crawler can't find my app-ads.txt in my app website yesterday. Today I found I didn't set Market URL when publishing my app, which is an optional URL, although maybe your crawler need that URL to cramp the app-ads.txt.

Surely that txt file is available on my website. I have submitted a new version for my app and fill that Market URL, so let's see if that will fix the issue.

Showing ads all the time to users is really a bad UX, thus I need to make my ads fre-capping take effect asap.

Hi Haibo,

Thank you for updating us, and I'm glad that the crawler has find your app-ads.txt.

With regard to frequency capping, it would be best to contact our Product support team as they are more equipped in handling ad serving concern.

Dear team,

Thanks for your email.

However I have contacted your Product team 6 days ago, please see below post sent, but still no reply. And I really don't like this PING-PONG game. This is the AdMob community, right? I appreciate your works, but at least give me something then I could check on my side. As current scenario, I really have no clue what I could do to let that Ads frequency capping works.

Hi Film,

Thank you for reaching back out to us. While we understand the frustration of waiting for the Product Support Team to get back to you. They are the best ones to help with the ad frequency. At the same time while you are waiting, I have looked to see what I can find for you regarding this issue. Here is one article that talks about it and how it should be set up.
