Hello there,

Could you please confirm if the flow to request Interstitial ads is correct or not?

We are requesting the ad before navigating to detail page. Here if it falls in fail block we request again using GADInterstitialAd.load(withAdUnitID:  method for ad after 2 seconds. This was keep on hitting till it gets an ad to show.

In reports it shows heavy request traffic(around 15k) but the impression were 0. Can we request it after a fixed time interval like current implementation or not? Could it be the reason behind "Ad serving limit placed"?

Hi Rahul,

With regard to your concern, I'm afraid that we cannot comment on how "Ad serving limit" is placed into publisher's account. For Mobile Ads SDK implementation perspective, we always ask our publishers to set a threshold on the number of an ad request to a given time. For example, publisher may request an ad for up to 3 times if the ad-server didn't return any ad, and if it reaches this threshold, we recommend to wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before requesting for another ad again.

Thank you for the clarification. We will revise the app accordingly.

One more thing, If someone download the app from testflight. Admob will consider it as a real user or as a test user? Since we are using testflight public download link and sharing the same for testing we can't update the IDFA over the console for each device to make it as a test device. And in such scenario, the data will consider as invalid traffic. Please clear this too cause its the second time we are getting an invalid traffic warning. And we want to make sure from our side for any wrong integration or approach.

Hi Rahul,

Thank you for your response.

With regard to your concern, we always recommend to use our test ad unit id whenever you're testing your application or use your actual ad unit id with the device in use are enabled as test device. Since the test flight is still in testing mode, you may encounter invalid traffic on this if you're using your actual ad unit id in devices that are not enable. You may check this article on how you can prevent invalid traffic.
