Big drop in revenue since end of June?

Hey all, I've been seeing a big drop in impressions and revenue since June 30th and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

I'm talking a 15%-30% drop over the past few days. I know Admob is deprecating the standalone SDK for Android soon (which nearly all my apps use) but I have read that this shouldn't affect existing apps.

Anyone else experiencing this?

The same here with iOS. Perhaps it has sonething to do with the seasonal campaigns of advertisers and not AdMob.

Ahh... That probably makes more sense than it being SDK version related. Still sucks though, I had my worst day in months yesterday :(

I have this problem too. My revenue is dropped 25% since this day and till now. Now your problem has been solved? Could you explain me more details about the solution or just some guess ? thanks

Unfortunately I still don't even know what the issue is exactly. So sorry, no solution. Today is looking to be even worse than yesterday :(

:( me too. I found the problem may com from the drop of RPM. My average RPM is round 1.5% but now only 1.1%. It means it has been dropped ~30% which cause my revenue drop ~25%. Do you have this issue too?

Yes, the RPM is going down on my app too, while requests and impressions are still around the same numbers. So, most probably the advertiser quality has dropped a little and there may be different causes of this like being in the holiday season and the big advertisers not spending too much on summer.

But if your assumption is true, so it must happen to so many other publishers like us. Anyone else has this revenue drop as us too here?

I'm thinking about Admob does not send us their best Ad which make our users have no interest on it and our revenue is dropped. I still don't know which factors make Admod not send us their best Ad? Do you have any ideas here?

I think this is not the error problem. It's happened on all platform because the campaign of advertiser is down and the low price being bidded.

It's not about AdMob serving the best ads and users not clicking in my opinion. On my app, the fillrate, requests and clicks are around the same but the revenue per click dropped. That means the advertisers are willing to give less per click and that may be a problem with the summer season.

I've only got 9$ since the start of this month with an average of 7500 requests a day. Anyone else on WP8?

Same! Number of requests have increased so much (blue graph in the snapshot) and the revenue and clicks has decreased simultaneously (the purple one is revenue)

It doesn't make sense. AdMob please fix this!

Same problem continues here also. Even with higher amount of requests (represented with blue in graph), extremely  low revenue (purple one). CTR has dropped to 0.4% down from ~5% instantly (as seen by green).

Wow and I thought I had a terrible drop off...that is horrendous. My graph has the same general shape although the reversal of impressions vs revenue is not as steep as that. Still hoping for some official input on this...

I saw the same drop since June 30th too. My guess is end of June is end of Q2. Companies had to use up their Advertising budget before end of Q2. It is just my guess.

Over 2 weeks now and revenue is still 50-60% lower. I think it's time to find a new provider. Happens too often with admob.

Big drop here too, especially in the past week. July will be the first month of 2014 that was lower than the same month in 2013 - with many more users this year. 

Don't think it's a technical issue, just much lower bids on ads. Hoping some new campaigns start in August.

I have noticed a revenue drop also. My requests and number of clicks is around the same, but the CPC is down around 30%.

My apps used to have mediation, but I removed it because they didn't seem to support SMART_BANNER. 

Now I am thinking it may be time to add back in mediation.

Same here. 40% drop since end of June. Low CPC, low CTR. Seems to me their ad repertoire has changed for bad. Well May-June were two very good months before this drop. Same good month was December before January-February drop. So I think this is seasonal and revenues will be back to normal starting September.
