Hello,

I'm currently working on adding banner ads to our app.
I followed the tutorial, everything works as expected except the fact that when tapping on the banner ad, the underlying link  (which in the Google Ad Manager UI is set to be a universal link for our app, as a "Click-to-app URL") opens in Safari and does not redirect back to our app. It just opens as a normal web page in Safari.
Question: can this work for banner ads as we are expecting? Meaning that, whenever the user clicks on the ad, Safari opens but then he is being redirected back to the app based on that universal link? Is it possible for banners?
OR do we need some other kind of ads (i.e. custom native ads) for which we can control the clicking behaviour and we can redirect ourselves the user where we want.

Looking forward for your input on this matter,
Thank you,
Alex Marchis

Hello there,

Thanks for reaching out to us. This is not possible with DFPBannerView. And, the Onclick is only exposed for Custom Native advanced ads.

So, to be 100% clear: Universal links do not work for banner ads on iOS, correct?
