Hi Mahmut Jiyan Aslan,

Thank you for contacting the Mobile Ads SDK Support team.

Upon reviewing your AdMob account with the provided information, I observed that your app status is in "Requires review" state. This indicates that your app has not yet been subject to the review process. To have it reviewed, it is necessary to establish a link between your app and the supported app store. You can link a supported store to your app within the All Apps or App settings pages and subsequently submit it for review. For more information, you can visit  Requires review

The app-ads.txt file has not been configured yet. Although the app-ads.txt file is not absolutely necessary for ads to be displayed, it's still recommended to Set up an app-ads.txt file for your app. You need to make sure that your apps are crawlable by AdMob in order to properly set up your app-ads.txt. Kindly refer to crawled

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Dear Support Team,

Thank you for your prompt response and for reviewing my account.

I successfully linked my application to the Google Play Store, as you observed. However, after receiving your email, I unlinked and linked the application again. Despite the app-ads.txt file being configured correctly and accessible, I am still encountering troubleshooting messages related to misconfiguration in the app-ads.txt file.

Could you please advise on the next steps I should take to resolve this issue? Additionally, I would appreciate guidance on how I can connect with you or your team directly to address this matter effectively.

Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your reply.

Best regards,
Mahmut Jiyan Aslan

Hi Mahmut Jiyan Aslan,

AdMob couldn't verify dbMeter - Decibel Level Meter (Android) review and fix any app-ads.txt issues, then check the app-ads.txt for updates. We'll verify that the app-ads.txt is found and formatted correctly.

You may have set up an app-ads.txt file, but your details don't match the information in your AdMob account.

What you can do:

  1. Open the following app-ads.txt setup instructions and review each step.
  2. Open your app-ads.txt file, and make sure your information is correct.
  3. After you publish the revised file to your developer website, check for updates.

Troubleshoot and fix issues in your app-ads.txt file.

  1. Make sure you've created an app-ads.txt file using the spec provided by IAB Tech Lab.
  2. Copy and paste the following code snippet into your app-ads.txt file:
    content_copygoogle.com, pub-3327333681426677, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0
  3. Publish your app-ads.txt on the root of your developer website (for example, sampledomain.com/app-ads.txt).
    1. Make sure the domain is entered exactly as listed on Google Play or the App Store.
  4. Crawl your app-ads.txt file to verify your app. We'll do a few checks to make sure the app-ads.txt is found and formatted correctly. This typically takes a few moments, but sometimes takes longer.

Hi Mahmut Jiyan Aslan,

Kindly note that I have removed two of your responses from the forum where it contains the PII information.

I have checked your app in Google Play Store and you haven't included a developer website. As per this documentation, Your developer website must be linked in your store listings in Google Play or the App Store in order for AdMob and other ad platforms to establish your app's ownership.

If you don't currently have a website set up for your app development business, then you'll need to establish one prior to participating in app-ads.txt.

Find below your response with redacted information.

Thank you for your email and the detailed instructions regarding app-ads.txt verification.

I have reviewed the setup instructions and ensured that the app-ads.txt file on my developer website is correctly configured according to the IAB Tech Lab specifications. The file is published at the root of my domain and includes the code snippet provided:

google.com, pub-*********************, DIRECT, *********************

You can verify the file by accessing it at the following URL:*********************

Additionally, the domain matches the one listed on Play Store. Despite these efforts, the app-ads.txt verification issue persists. I have also confirmed that the file is accessible and properly formatted.

Could you please provide further assistance or perform an additional check on your end to help resolve this issue? If there's any specific detail or adjustment required, I would appreciate your guidance.

Thank you for your support, and I look forward to your reply.

Hi,

Thank you for your email and for addressing the PII-related matter. I appreciate your assistance and the detailed instructions regarding app-ads.txt verification.

I have updated my developer website on the Google Play Store and can confirm that the changes are visible on the platform. Please find attached screenshots highlighting the updated fields for your reference.

Despite this update, AdMob still cannot verify the website. The app-ads.txt file is correctly configured and accessible at the root of my domain, as per the IAB Tech Lab specifications. The file includes the following snippet:

google.com, pub-*********************, DIRECT, *********************

you can verify it by accessing the following URL: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dbmeter

The domain on my developer website matches the one listed in the Play Store. However, the verification issue persists.

Could you please review the updated setup and provide additional guidance on resolving this issue? I am eager to address any discrepancies to ensure proper verification.

Thank you for your support, and I look forward to your reply.

Best regards,
Mahmut Jiyan Aslan
