Autoclosing Interstitial Ads for my Mobile Application

I'm wondering if it is possible with the Android SDK to autoclose interstitial ads after a designated time interval -- 10,15, 30 seconds.  In my app -- which is audio-based -- it isn't appropriate for the user to have to manually close down the interstitial ads to continuing using the application.  Of course, a short interval of advertising like a radio ad is fine.  The SDK doesn't support this?

Hi there,

Unfortunately the SDK does not provide API's to auto close the Interstitial ads. But this can be done in DFP when directly booked Interstitials are served. You can create one either by choosing a  creative template or by custom creatives.

• If you want to build using a creative template, I would suggest you to select the Mobile Interstitial with auto-close(app) template in the Mobile Templates. You can read more about them in this article.
• Next option would be to use custom creatives. This article would help you in creating one.

So...I am an app developer.  Would I be working in DFP or is that only for creative folks that are creating the advertisements themselves.

As I have mentioned, you can create directly booked Interstitials if you want to publish your own ads. You're Technical Account Manager would be able to assist you with this. This would give you the ability to enable auto close from the creative end. You cannot do that from the SDK.
