Hello,

I'm trying to integrate AdMob, I'm using Unity Plugin v3.8.0.

I created an empty Unity project, then imported AdMob plugin, after swiching Unity to Android platform, AdMob resolver popped up and closed later, no error.

I start to load interstitial, and I got 400 error from log.

Ad unit id is ca-app-pub-7201721099941986/3326516169.

If I add my device as test device, interstitial can popup.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. I was not able to load ads using your Ad Unit ID with our sample apps. It looks like there might be an issue with your account setup. Can you make sure to update the Billing and Payments details on your account? Please note that it might take few hours for these changes to reflect on your account, so I'd suggest that you wait for few hours and try loading the ads again. If you continue to have an issue with this, do provide us the complete device logs so I can take a look and assist you further.

Hi,

After updated Billing and Payments, problem resolved.

But ads sitll can't be displayed, I added 2 mediations (Vungle and AdColony).

There's some error "Could not request interstitial ad from adapter. java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.vungle.mediation.VungleManager", but I have put Vungle adapter into my project, and I decompiled apk, VungleManager exist there.

And AdColony seems like "Timed out waiting for adapter."

I attached full log.

Hello,

Thank you for getting back to support. It looks like there might be an issue integrating the Vungle SDK and Adapter. You may refer to our Mediation guide which illustrates steps to include SDK and Adapter on Android. You may also refer to the Vungle integration guide where you can download the latest SDK and Adapter. Once you download the latest SDK and Adapter, you will have to add them to the Assets > Plugins > Android > GoogleMobileAdsPlugin > libs folder. Please refer to the additional steps mentioned here for implementing AdMob mediation with Vungle.

Additionally, you may refer to this article on how to set the eCPM values for Mediation networks in order to serve ads from different ad networks. Let me know if you run into any issues and I'll be happy to assist you further.

With Vungle integration guide, I use 5.x version (I'm using 4.x version before), Vungle works, at least on Android.

But AdColony still doesn't work, I also followed AdColony integration guide. Full log is attached.

BTW, when I remove both Vungle and AdColony, no ads are displayed, is it intended? I think AdMob itself also provide ads.
An "AdMob Network" in mediation group, it has a few requests, but impressions is 0.

Hello,

I'm glad that you were able to integrate Vungle and load the ads. That said, based on the logs, it looks like you're receiving an Error Code: 3. This indicates that there is no ad returned from the ad server. However, I was able to load ads with the current Mediation network settings using our sample apps. I'd suggest that you recheck the eCPM settings in your account and try again. If you continue to have an issue with this, you will have to contact the AdMob Product Support Team as they are better equipped to address any serving related issues. You can reach out to them directly via this link. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Hello,

I tried your sample app, it didn't work at first, after sometime, it started work, I don't know why, now it also works in my game.

Now, ad sources are AdMob, Vungle and AdColony, how to make sure all sources work? Because if one source doesn't work, it will use other sources, I have to let ads popup and see it comes from which source?

On iOS, ads can also be displayed now, but there's a click problem.
I have 2 devices to test, one is iPhone6, another is iPhone8. Ads can't be clicked on iPhone6, it's ok on iPhone8, system versions are all 11.

Hello,

As mentioned earlier, this doesn't look like an implementation issue as the ads are being served. The ads will be returned from the ad networks based on their availability in the ad inventory. To get this issue resolved, I'd recommend that you contact the AdMob Product Support Team as they are better equipped to guide you through the ad network settings.

As for your second concern, could you provide us your Ad Unit ID and complete device logs which includes the logging for Ad Events from the SDK for both the devices, so we can take a look as to why the click events are not being called? Could you confirm if the issue is reproducible by testing with our sample app on these devices? You can provide us your Ad Unit ID privately using Reply privately to author option.

Thanks,

Hello,

The problem still exists in sample app.
I imported v3.8.0 sdk, copied HelloWorld sample, opened MainScene, modified app id and interstitial unit id in GoogleMobileAdsDemoScript.cs.
Log is attached.

Hello,

Thank you for providing all the details. I was able to verify this on an iPhone 6s device and all the click events worked fine. I'm trying to get a hold of an iPhone 6 device to test this further. Meanwhile, can you confirm if this is specific to these two devices?

As for you second concern regarding contacting the AdMob Product Support Team, you can reach out to them via the Contact Us button on the upper right hand corner of this page. Make sure to login with your Gmail/AdMob account to access the support page. You can also use this troubleshooter to contact them and they'll get back to you.

I only have a iPhone6 and iPhone8, yes, I confirm ads can't be clicked on this iPhone6, ads can be clicked on iPhone8, I have no more devices to test.

Hi,

Would you be able to provide a Charles log and video for the issue where you're unable to click interstitial ads on an iPhone 6?

I have more info for you, about the unclickable problem on my iPhone6.
I integrated some mediations, if ads are provided by other mediations, it can be clicked. It only can't be clicked if ads are provided by Google.

Hey,

I'm still having trouble reproducing this issue. The Charles log you provided wasn't usable as you didn't enable SSL proxying. Would you be able to provide another one?

Hi,

I want to display Google ads only, it's more easy to reproduce this bug, I remove other mediations, only "AdMob Network" exist in mediation group, but ads can't be displayed.
It always gives me error:
Cannot find an ad network adapter with the name(s): com.google.DummyAdapter. Remember to link all required ad network adapters and SDKs, and set -ObjC in the 'Other Linker Flags' setting of your build target.

The error you're running into is caused when there is no eligible ad to be served for your ad request.

I tried 1.00, 20.00 eCPM or not set eCPM, no matter what, no eligible ads.
Also, I tried submit trouble earlier in https://support.google.com/admob/troubleshooter/6401922?hl=en, and got an email said "reply within 2 business days, not necessary to send another email", 2 weeks passed, no reponse.

If you're able to provide a Charles log with SSL proxying enabled, I can investigate further.

For the log you provided, it does not seem like any ads were successfully loaded. Did you receive no fill for all of your ad requests?

No, no any "no fill" log output, only "Cannot find an ad network adapter with the name(s): com.google.DummyAdapter. Remember to link all required ad network adapters and SDKs, and set -ObjC in the 'Other Linker Flags' setting of your build target." at interstital load.

The error you are running into occurs when there is no ad eligible to be served for your ad request. There actually isn't a missing adapter.
